 Dr. Shankar Basu
Owner and CEO
Dr. Basu earned his M.S. (Engg) and MBA degrees from the University of Minnesota and a doctorate degree in Executive Management from the Peter Drucker Institute of Claremont University. He began his career as a design and then test engineer in 1971 at American Hoist & Derrick Company. After four years with Allis Chalmers, in 1981, Dr. Basu joined Toyota organization as its National Marketing Manager. He was promoted to Assistant General Manager of Toyota Industrial Equipment (T.I.E.), and later to General Manager and Group Vice President and officer of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. In 2001, he was appointed President & CEO of Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc.. Dr. Basu retired in 2009 as chairman of the company. Since then he has served as the CEO (and owner) of Toyota-Lift of Los Angeles.
He has served as a member of the board of Industrial Truck Association (I.T.A.), Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (M.H.E.D.A.), and University of California, Irvine School of Business. As an Associate Professor, he has taught Strategic Management and Change Management at graduate level at UC Fullerton and Chapman University. He has a number of published articles, as well as a book titled "Corporate Purpose: Why It Matters More than Strategy."
 Jim McManus

Mr. McManus started in the Material Handling Industry in 1969. He worked as the General Manager at Toyota Canada until 1995 when he transferred to Toyota Industrial Equipment to work as the National Sales Manager. In 2001 TIE became Toyota Material Handling U.S.A., and Jim became Vice President of Sales until he retired in 2006. Jim worked with the San Diego Toyota dealership for three years, and joined Toyota-Lift of Los Angeles in 2010.

Mr. Keck started in the Material Handling Industry in 1977. He began in this industry as a Field Service Technician, and in the past 33 years he has held the Management position in Customer Service, Parts, Information Systems, Service, Rental, and Retail Reconditioned Sales. He was on the L.P.M. Dealer Counsel Board for two years, and is an active member of M.H.E.D.A. Mr. Keck has been with Toyota-Lift of Los Angeles since 2009.

Mr. Oleska has 30 plus years experience as a Mechanic. He has experience in heavy equipment, aerial equipment, conveyor systems, screening plants, rock crushers, over the road trucks, forklifts, diesel engines, hydraulics, reefer units, generators, light towers and shooting boom forklifts. He has been working as the Service Manager here at Toyota-Lift of Los Angeles since 2001.

Mr. Cabral started in the forklift industry in 1985 with Freeborn Equipment Company. In 1990, Toyota-Lift of Los Angeles purchased Freeborn Equipment Company and he has been with the company ever since. In 2011, Mr. Cabral assumed the position of Parts Manager, further strengthenin the team at Toyota-Lift of Los Angeles.
